Pinto Beans
2 1/2 cups Pinto Beans
7 cups water
1 cup bacon or ham
1 onion (diced)
Simmer beans, meat, water and onion together for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. (Do not permit to scorch.) Add salt after cooking. Serve as a
vegetable or sprinkle with grated cheese and serve with cornbread as a main dish.
